Kjære familie,
FRIDAYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited to see you all!!!! Can you believe it has been 5 months since we talked to each other last? Time goes by so fast! This has been a busy week, full of LOTS of weird things.

Last Monday after emailing we ended Pday early and taught Debby. Sister Trydal wanted to see her before she moved, so we went and taught her. We talked about Baptism and Confirmation. And it went well. :) We LOVE Debby! Then we met with Dennis, Sister Trydal said goodbye to him and he gave us chocolate! He is just on fire as a new convert! He is doing so great! Later that night we met with the missionaries and our ward mission leader and went through some more of the ward list to split it up between the companionships. Of course, since we are the only sisters, have all of the old ladies, which is great!!! But we need more families hahaa, next time well get more. :)
Tuesday was FREEZING. The weather is completely bipolar here in Norway, like Ive said before. We had to travel pretty early in the day to get to an area called Ormåsen, to visit a less active and an active family. But with the extra time, we knocked on doors. I could have been wearing tights, a scarf, and a hat, but wasnt!!! The wind was blowing and we were FREEZING! We met with a less active and warmed up, but after 30 or so minutes, we were back out in the cold! We at dinner with a member family that lived in that area, and we had salmon, potatoes, and vegatables! It was SO good...Norwegian salmon is heavenly. That night we had a family home evening with Melissa, her mom, and her siblings about miracles :) We watched Finding Faith in Christ and it was the cutest thing! The two young boys came over, and the 5 year old said, "Er det Jesus?" ("Is that Jesus?") with the most innocent, pure voice. It just melted my heart. This was my last day with Sister Trydal! She was so sad to leave, and it was sad to see her go. But she is now in a three-some in Asker, just about 30 minutes away, and Im sure she is doing great!
Wednesday morning Sister Frampton got here! Soon after she arrived, we went and taught a man named Øyvind as a three-some, then taught a girl named Rowena from the Phillippines, and then the Asker sisters picked us up and drove us to a dinner appointment, and brought Sister Trydal with them! This was the weirdest dinner I have eaten. Poor Sister Frampton, her first impression of Drammen was this. We went to a ladies house named Sonja, probably in her 60s, and she had invited another old lady. We were helping her cut things up and as I was sitting tlaking with one of the old ladies, Sister Frampton mouths to me, "is she crazy?!" This lady is a little bit. So, for dinner, we had these shells with some shrimp veggie sauce in them, which was good, but about 5 minutes before we ate it, sister Frampton pulled out a long black hair! And Sonja poured probably a quarter of a cup of pepper into it. She also made some meat thing to eat afterwards. The drink she had me mix together...oh my goodness hahahah she thought of it herself and had never tried it. So I asked her how much of the liquids I should pour in and she didnt know! So I poured in some strong apple concentrate like juice, bubbly water, and milk with a taste of pineapple. EW!!!!! Then because it didnt taste well we poured some Soft into it too each time we got a cup. It ended up tasting fine, but WHAT?!?!?! Hahahaha! For dessert, this is the best part...we had this "fruit salad" with strawberries (it starts out normal), trailmix, ZUCHINNI, RAW EGGPLANT, and CREAM. (and a little honey). Hahahahaha, and then Sonja put pepper into hers!!! Sister Frampton asked her why she did that, and she said, "Det er mer spennende." "Its more exciting." Sister Frampton lost it and started laughing SO hard hahahaa! The food didnt taste so bad, but it definitely was a first that I have tried it. Then we all had to squish into Rannveigs car so that we could get to the city. I had met a lady named Berit on the bus a week or so earlier that pretty much asked us to come and visit her. So we made an apointmetn later and went to her house! HAHHAHHA poooooor Sister Frampton! This was the weirdest day! We met Berit (60 or so years old) outside and we walked to her house. We got in and the strongest smell of smoke attacked us. The first thing she said was, "Make sure you lock the door." AHHHHHHHHH! Then she told us she has 9 cats...and she brought us into her "Doctors room" That is atleast what it looked like! There was a bed that looked like the ones that you sit on the the hospital room, and I sat on a doctors chair. She then went on to tell us why she locks the door, and what she does. She is a healer. KJÆRE VENNE. Then she said to us....hahaha I wish you could all understand Norwegian because it is so much funnier in Norsk. She said, "Jeg liker mennesker.....og katter." which translates to, "I like people...and cats." CREEEPYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We about died!!!!! During the prayer I keeped one of my eyes cracked open, just incase she moved. And Sister Frampton prayed. She told me later that she felt Berit looking at her, so during her prayer she peeked up at Berit and she was STARING at her! hahaha She gave us pop and we taught her the first lesson. I do not want to go back there. It was CREEPY! But, she became a new investigator, and as we were walking out she touched my face..it was super weird. Anyways, we will be meeting with her at the church from now on. Welcome to Drammen Sister Frampton!
Thursday we were able to do some weekly planning, actually a lot of weekly planning to get Sister Frampton more familier with the area. That night we taught Debby with a member about following the prophet, tithing, and fast offering, and obedience. She agreed "ABSOLUTT!" to follow them! :) We love Debby!!!

Friday was a GREAT day!!! We taught Betty, the new convert, about temples and family history. We were planning on knocking on doors and contacting most of the day, but before we taught Betty, Dennis called us and asked us to meet his friend and him at the library later in the day! So later in the day we went and taught a lady named Ida in the library, and she became a new investigator!!!!!!! Dennis is a referral machine to all of the missionaries! He tells EVERYONE about the gospel! :) We focused on making 30 people smile this day. We counted 25 people that we made smile, and it was SO fun. Missionary work is HELPING PEOPLE COME CLOSER TO CHRIST. So even if we had 0s the entire day, which we didnt with the help of the Lord, but even if we did, we woud have still had success!
On Saturday we had quite a few appointments planned, 5 actually! And all of them fell through. Sigrun, a lady we were SO excited about, told us that she wasnt interested...that this wasnt her path. Sister Frampton asked her if we could pray there at the door for her to know if this was the right path, and so we did. I said the prayer and was praying in my head while I was speaking outloud to know what I should say. Words came out that I would not have said if I thought of it myself, and I KNOW the Spirit was there and she felt it. She had to have! But we got permission from her to call or text her in a week or so to see how she liked the video we gave her, The Restoration. We arent giving up on her! Two or our appointments back to back fell through, and we were going to have Betty help us with one! We called her to cancel and she told us that she had a friend with her and they were already half way to the church. We got to teach her!!! And she became a new investigator!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was SO AMAZING! The Lord is so aware of us!!!!! Christina is her name and she is way positive. Sister Frampton hadnt been feeling so well since she woke up that morning, so after our other 2 appointments fell through, we went home. She slept and I called people. I called people in my phone for about an hour and a half and by the end of that I felt like I had been contacting for that long. I felt EXHAUSTED! Kristinsand sisters called me and talked about an investigator I had helped teach in Ksand that had a baptismal date, but it fell through. Maybe you all remember Mouyy? I dont know if you do, but they are teaching her again and she wants to be baptized!!! She didnt understand Tithing so well but they are teaching her now and she will be baptized next month :) oh it is so exciting!!

Sunday was a good day too. I am so surprised with how many people I know! I realized because it was Sister Framptons first Sunday, and I was saying hi to pretty much everyone and was able to tell her almost everyones names that she asked about! We were SO blessed to be able to teach the young women. We taught about missionary work and the individual worth of all of us. How there are so many people they know that dont know who they are, that they are daughters of God. It went way well and we got a lot closer to the girls. After church one of the moms texted us and told us thank you for the lesson. That her 17 year old daughter has wanted a lesson about Missionary work for a long time now and that we touched her heart. It made us so happy :) We talked about how we need to be built up on the rock of Jesus Christ (Helaman 5:12) and gave them each a rock and a quote from President Eyrings talk in the Womens Conference. :) Christina came to church with Betty!!!! But Debby didnt come. We got invited to eat at a members house, the Fromgrens, to celebrate there sons birthday. We used some of the time beforehand studying, and then ate with them. They grilled and had delicious desserts! It was so fun! :) Then that night we had a missionary night with the YSA at our Mission Leaders house. I LOVE THESE PEOPLE HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh I just LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!! I have been so blessed my whole mission where I have served. SO BLESSED! I cant wait to tell you all about this area when we Skype on Friday!!!!!!! :)
