I LOVE the MTC! It is so full of the spirit. I also LOOOOOVE LOOOVE LOVEE my district! I have 2 elders in my district and 8 sisters. Then the other district of Norwegians have 9 sisters and 2 elders! I learned how to pray and bear my testimony the second day...I think haha the days are like weeks here and the weeks are like days!!!! Let me organize my thoughts. The food is great. I usually eat a salad a day, they have BYU ice cream on sundays and wednesday, but other than that its just delicious food! Chicken cordon bleu, wraps, etc. One really HILARIOUS story that I have to share - we were at lunch and theres a sister in my district named Sister Hunt. She grabbed a orange cream sickle and was licking it and it got stuck to her tongue! So she decided she would blow on it to get it un frozen. But when she did that it got FROZEn to the rest of her tongue and her lip!!! So she attempted to say, "it won't come out!" I looked over and started LAUGHING SOOOO hard! Her companion was [pouring glasses of water on her mouth and poking her lip to get it off! So once it came off of her lip her tongue was just hanging out of her mouth with the popsickle frozen to it. It was honestly the FUNNIEST thing ever! And she ended up getting it off, but her tongue was bleeding and hurt...but still it was SO funny!
Anyways, we have already taught 5 lessons to an "investigator" who I know, is Sister Taylor (the one that brother bennion knows)
For gym time the first few days, I ran around the track a couople times and then played four square which was SOOO fun! Haha, but the past 2 days the field has been open and so I have been playing soccor! I am SO NOT good! haha but I've made 2 goals! (: And I think I run like, 4 miles a day playing it. It is SO tiring. And we run part of the way back to our room also.
Norwegian is so great. I love it. It is hard though, with the grammar and everything, but I know I will get it. I CANT WAIT to get to Norway! I have an overwhelming love for the people there. It is so coolt o be able to feel a sliver of the love that Christ and Heavenly Father have for them. Also, it is crazy that I can speack as much norwegain as I do. I know that I wouldn't have been able to do this without the Lord.
They say, Obedience brings belssings but strict obedience brings miracles. I am really working on being stritcly obedient. I know that everything that we do here is because that is what the Lord wants. My testimony has grown so mucgh here. I was reading today, before we did a session in the Provo temple, in matthew when Christ was waling on watrer and athen his apostly started to, then saw the wind and lost faith and starting falling in. That is exactly how faith works. We need to continue to have faith always, throlugh trial, happiness, and sadness. If we do, the Lord will help us to continue to walk on the water. Sister Mourik said, "Catch me, because I know I can't fly." I love that. It is so true. I know that NOTHING can happen without the Lord. Also, in the scriptures someone baptized 5000 people. Sorry, I forgot who it was. But someone that was teaching us said that we can do that. I KNOW that it is possible for me to convert 5000 people in a day. It may seem crazy, but I know it is possible.
One thing that I absolutley LOVE is when we sing Called To Serve with all of the missionaries. It is AMAZING to me hwo much power and how much I feel the spirit when we sing it. It is so amazing that we are going to serve the Lord. and that time is NOW! Let me think......Oh, etiher steve or trev was wondering if we still have service days. and YES we do! Ours was tuesday. I helped vacuum, mop, and dry the stairs in building 3m. (:
Love, Soster Chapman
Godt å høre at du tryves in misjonær arbeid! Ha en flott uke og være flittig med studiene. Be hele tid.
